MANISTEE, MI — A Northern Michigan community college president, arrested in early August for alleged drunken driving, had a blood-alcohol content high enough to have him facing stiffer penalties under the state's "super drunk" classification, police say.

Charles Dillon, president of West Shore Community College in Scottville, was taken into custody around 9 p.m. Aug. 6 in the parking lot of Olsen Grocery Store. Callers to 911 had reported a drunken driver.
