MUSKEGON, MI- Joel Farabee scored the eventual game-winner less than two minutes into the game and goaltender Drew DeRidder pitched a 34-save shutout to lead Team USA U18 to a 7-0 win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks.

Oliver Wahlstrom netted a hat trick for Team USA, scoring two in the first period and adding another early in the third.

Matthew Vernon made his USHL debut, stopping 10 of 14 first-period shots before Adam Brizgala entered the game to start the second. Brizgala made 11 saves on 14 shots.

The bakery's success at the Western Market chalets was the catalyst for the new location.

MUSKEGON, MI - Morat's Bakery is taking its downtown Muskegon chalet to the next level. 

The full-service family bakery will open a brick-and-mortar location at 820 Terrace St. downtown Muskegon yet this year. 

Formerly the home of Westshore Law Offices and M3 Investments, there will be a demolition and buildout process prior to opening, said co-owner Dan Castle, who is part of the third generation of Morat bakers with his wife Carollee Morat-Castle.

It's time to settle the debate on creepy-crawly things.

I'm a snake guy myself. They're fascinating creatures - y'know, moving around without any legs, swallowing things whole, and all that. They make nice pets, too.

Spiders, though. ICK. They're hairy and ugly and secrete sticky webs that you don't know are there until you walk through them. And they have way, way too many legs.

As one theory goes, our vast biological differences is one reason why we humans find snakes and spiders repulsive. And most people prefer to hate one more than the other.

It's the first time since 2014 that a Mega Millions jackpot winner was sold in Michigan.

LANSING, MI - A lucky player in Michigan won a share of the $43 million Mega Millions jackpot as they matched all five white numbers drawn and the Mega ball.
